Within a United Grand Lodge of England Masonic lodge, the formal meeting is followed by what’s known as the Festive/Social Board. This is a traditional dinner held after the ceremony, and is a structured occasion with set toasts, seated dining, and an emphasis on fellowship. While the ritual forms the core of the evening, the Board is where members and visitors relax, share conversation, and really get to know each other.
Menus vary depending on the venue and occasion, from simple, well-cooked classics to more elaborate multi-course meals for special meetings, and some lodges even being interest-based on fine dining with gourmet cuisine and matched wine pairings! Below you can find various tables that detail what menus might look like. Tables are by the number of courses, with the three course table being the largest.
